I wanted to write about dogs, and the difference and balance they can bring to one’s life. Dogs aren’t everyone’s thing, granted, but the difference they have made to me I think is worth mentioning.
This blog will talk about my thoughts on dogs, dog ownership and the fact that it isn’t just as simple as folks think at first glance!
Dog psychology is becoming more and more important to respect and understand as time goes on. It’s up to us as the so-called more intelligent species to understand life from the dog’s point of view but we often expect them to fit in to our human way of life and we wonder why we experience problems with them. By understanding dog behaviour and getting to the root of what causes things like nervous aggression, fear, lack of recall and a host of other problems, we can solve these issues and many more, making for a much more harmonious existence with our beloved companions.
There is a lot to learn about our canine companions, and this learning experience can be hugely rewarding, for us as well as the dog, as I’ve found over the past 4 years. I’m no expert - call me an enthusiastic novice! I hope this blog can provide information, enlightenment and a bit of humour! Please feel free to comment on any post and to view the range of resources that I have put together, all of which I have used myself, and can highly recommend. The links to these are available below and at the right hand side of the Blog. Thanks for reading!

My Dogs
hello, what a great blog , and so true , many people love the idea of bringing a little pup home and making him/her part of the family ,
but the work /time/patience and understanding of these human like friends is sadly under estimated,
i have seen many dogs being homed because they are oh so cute and cuddly as pups ,who then grow big and more demanding to there owners ,and the poor things are then sent on to yet another new owner all because they have never been raised properly from the start.
i am so glad that kind people like your self actually read into your dogs needs ,and fully prepares your self for the obstacle course ahead of being a dog owner,
